The photo was taken in 2011 but not officially titled until 2018. Over the years the photo has been called a great many things. You may have seen the photo under many names including "Standing Guard", "The Eagle has Landed", some variation of "The Eagle in Arlington" or my personal favorite “Guardian in the Garden of Stone". Unfortunately none of these titles came from us. We titled the photo Keeping God’s Acre.
The photo continues to go viral 3 times a year. Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Veteran’s Day people share the photo around the world.
Reprints of the photo are only available directly through us. It would have been easy to put the photo with some company and sit back and get paid occasionally. That didn’t feel right to us.
We love meeting people both in person and via the ‘net to share and exchange stories of how the photo touches all of us. Permissions for use are available.
We are particular about how the photo is used as we do not wish to dishonor our Fallen Warriors. Permissions will never be granted for political purposes.
Other than that we can talk about almost anything. I do ask that you ask well in advance so we have time to iron out all the details before your deadline.
We love to donate to a good cause. We know that fundraising is not easy but we can offer a print or two to help out. I do ask for advance notice in this as well so we can meet your deadline.
We believe that the world is too fast and busy and in need of instant gratification. It’s easy to get caught up in. Working with the photo is a daily reminder to stop, take a breath, share a cup of companionship, make time for you and yours and count the stars.
As always, we are thankful to all the brave men and women who serve our Country, and those who love them.
